Barrett Pendleton

Barrett Pendleton is the founder and editor of Circular Stream, an independent research platform dedicated to exploring the relationship between marine systems, resource sovereignty and circular economics.

With a background in Business Management, Barrett’s research focuses on how ecological principles can inform more resilient economic systems. His work examines the intersection of environmental sustainability, resource governance and commercial innovation, with a particular interest in understanding how businesses can create long-term value while operating within ecological limits.

Circular Stream was established to bridge the gap between academic research and practical discussion. Drawing upon peer-reviewed literature, policy reports and real-world case studies, the platform seeks to present complex environmental and economic issues in an accessible and evidence-based manner.

Rather than advocating simple solutions, our interest is in understanding how natural systems function and how their underlying principles can inspire more effective approaches to industry, commerce and public policy. Through articles spanning marine sustainability, the blue economy, aquaculture, resource security and circular economic models, Circular Stream aims to contribute to informed discussion about the future of sustainable development.

The philosophy behind Circular Stream is straightforward: economies, like ecosystems, are most resilient when they are designed to regenerate rather than deplete. By studying the natural cycles that sustain life in the world’s oceans, we hope to encourage new ways of thinking about business, innovation and environmental stewardship.
